Gifting Ideas 101

Christmas is just around the corner, and if you're like me, I have a long list of family and friends I'd love to share a special, thoughful gift with....but I also have a budget I'm working with.

To inspire your creativity and ingenuity, I thought I'd share what I'm doing for Christmas gifts this year. Since my goal is: Wrapped and done by December one! I'm knee deep in these projects and am altogether pleased with he results I'm getting!

Homemade Vanilla Extract -- perfect for the friend or family member always baking delicious treats at all the get togethers! Plus, it's re-fillable! Just keep adding vodka to the vanilla beans - it can last up to a few years depending on how often you use it!

-Infused Vodka -- If you know a friend, though, who has a favorite fruit or flavor and enjoys a mixed beverage on occassion, this is a great, fun experiment, I mean, gift!

Coasters -- you can use this technique to make personalized coasters with family photos or favorite designer or wrapping paper. You can also use the instructions to add enlarged photos to canvas! Simple, inexpensive, and useful!

Tea -- You can mix up some favorite spices to make chai tea, like I did, or you can buy some loose-leaf tea and package it in tea-tins and add personalized labels. OR you can buy packaged tea and print out your own tabs to staple or glue to the end of the tea bag (string). Then package the tea in a nice tin, box, or package and place the package in a teacup or mug!

Candles and soap -- Melt and pour candle-making and soap-making is simple for anyone. I've done some shopping around and have found simple, cost-effective starter kits that make enough candles and soap for everyone on your list!

Teacher gifts --  Package a few graham crakcers, chocolate, and marshmellow sticks in a nice box, cellophane bag, tie, and add a cute tag saying "We need smore teachers like you!"

These are just a few ideas. To view these projects and links to their original sites, Go to my Gift-making Pinterest Inspiration Board!
For many of the above projects, I either have the supplies you need or can direct you to the right place to get what you need! Happy gift-making and, more importantly, may you and your family take time to reflect and celebrate the True Gift we have been given!
